Our History
Sadly, much of Gauquin history has been lost to time. We do know that the Gauquins Originated and evolved much the same way as humans. Gauquins originated on the planet Gauquinia. The first recorded artifact in Gauquin history marks the origin of the date system. The suspected year that the artifact came from starts their year system, about 60,000 years before human existence. Therefore, the Gauquins are much more advanced, and the Gauquin year lasts much longer than a Terran year. From what we have gathered, the Gauquins had originated on a planet roughly twice Earth's size as amphibious life-forms. Gauquins were, from the start, very peaceful creatures. They lived in massive underwater caves, caverns, and labynriths. Eventually, the Gauquins' peaceful existence was brought to a halt when a gigantic meteor, much like the one suspected to have hit Earth-- ending the age of the dinosaurs, hit the ocean and obliterated many of the Gauquin race. The only survivors were those that developed the ability to breath air. Although we don't know when this happened, we do know that shortly after the asteroid collision a Gauquinian Dark-Age arose. When this age ended, Gauquinians began to advance rapidly in the fields of science, mathematics, and arts. The Gauquinian Space-Age dawned quickly because of the abundance of electromagnetic material, Gaewirium, allowing them to develop an anti-grav. System using electrical fields. A Golden-Age dawned, and peace again reigned on Gauquinia. Their exploration of the galaxy began with Earth. Our ancestors were sent here accurately disguised as humans to observe humans before a peaceful first contact was to be attempted, unfortunately, no time yet in Human history has been stable enough to receive the Gauquins.
